The Ex-British Royal Air Force MPP 5x4 monorail technical large format camera
This is an amazing 1960's English Ex-RAF 5x4 large format Technical Monorail camera made by the British company MPP (Micro Precision Products) paired with a period true Graflex F4.5 120mm lens - which we custom adapted to use with 21st century studio lighting.
We acquired this camera for Melton Original Portraits in 2014 - Previously owned by the British Royal Air Force and used in service for many years in the 1970's and 1980's this camera has been meticulously maintained throughout its long life and is the 'Ferrari' of Large format cameras.
Usually used by studio based photographers shooting film decades ago, having a portrait captured by this camera is a truly unique experience that cannot be replicated even with today's camera technology.

We acquired this truly rare camera in 2016 - we don't know much about it but we do know that it was imported to London in the 1950's from the state of New York. Its is in perfect condition and creates plates 4 times large than the MPP - very very special
